Kate Posluszny, MSc
CIHR Health System Impact Fellow
Kate Posluszny is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Health System Impact Fellow and a PhD Candidate in Kinesiology (with a specialization in biomechanics) at the University of Waterloo.
In partnership with VHA Home HealthCare, Kate's fellowship work aims to better monitor and manage community-based personal support workers' physical and psychological demands at a system-level to mitigate the high risk of mental health injuries and low back musculoskeletal disorders.
Kate completed her Honours Bachelor in Kinesiology degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, with a specialization in human movement and performance, as well as minors in Biology and Psychology. She further completed her Master of Science in Kinesiology at Lakehead University. In Kate's PhD, her research has continued to focus on mitigating workers' psychological and/or physical demands.
