Ogechi Obi
2025 Graduate Research Award Winner
Ogechi Obi, BPharm, is a PhD student in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto.
Her research interests include older adults' health services delivery, home care, and pharmacoepidemiology. Her current work focuses on preventing older adults' avoidable hospitalizations for unmet home support needs. This work specifically seeks to develop definitions and tools to identify social admissions and explore the intensity of post-discharge home support services and hospitalization in a subgroup of older adults at risk of social admission. Ogechi hopes that her project will provide evidence of the need to better integrate the hospital and home care systems.
