Over the past hundred years, the one constant at VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) has been our dedication to providing the best care possible, delivered with heart. Achieving this is no small feat and is only possible through the immeasurable passion and commitment shown by our staff and service providers.

Every year, we recognize a select few of our incredible people with a coveted Client Care Award. Clients and their families are given the opportunity to nominate their care provider to be recognized for their exceptional service and as a way to share their appreciation for the excellent care they receive.

“The Client Choice Award is one of the most impactful and meaningful recognition programs at VHA because it involves clients and families in the nominations process and gives them the ability to identify and call out spectacular care at home, delivered with heart and led by science because that’s what really matters to us,” explains Dan Uzelac, Director, People and Culture. “And for our care providers, hearing the heartfelt words of appreciation from their clients is a source of inspiration and confirmation of the important and valuable work that they do each and every day.”

2025 saw an incredible response with 877 nominations submitted for 428 care providers! While we wish we could award every single nominee, in the end, our selection committee awarded 10 recipients who all receive a $500 award, an engraved plaque, a special tribute video and an invitation to VHA’s annual Recognition Party.

Our deepest, heartfelt appreciation to everyone who was nominated for delivering such incredible care to our clients. Thank you for all that you do for our clients and thank you making VHA a leader in home healthcare.
