Adults and Seniors Rehabiltation Services
We provide a wide range of rehabilitation services to adults and seniors in the home, workplace or community.
Services we offer include:
- Strategies to help you manage your activities of daily living after an illness or disability
- Mobility and fall risk assessments
- Equipment recommendations
- Lift and transfer training
- Seating and mobility assessments including Assistive Device Program (ADP) funding authorization
- Management of anxiety and depression
- Therapeutic exercises for recovery from surgery, illness or injury
- Chest physiotherapy
- Ergonomic and return-to-work assessments
- Help with language and communication difficulties
- Assessment and treatment of speech problems
- Assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders and feeding problems
- Diet and nutrition counselling
- Grief, loss, family and marital counselling
- Palliative care support and information
- Assistance with accessing funding, housing, and government programs and community support services
We provide rehabilitation services to adults and seniors in the Greater Toronto, London and Ottawa areas (Please note that not all services are available in all areas).
Child and Family Rehabilitation Services
VHA Rehab Solutions provides rehabilitation services for children in the home, school or community.
Services we offer include:
- Assessment, consultation and treatment for infants or children with developmental delays, congenital or birth injuries, or neurological problems
- Fine and gross motor skill development
- Management of sensory issues that impact on daily living
- Help with handwriting and learning needs
- Assistance with equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, bathing equipment etc.)
- Lift and transfer training
- Splinting
- Help with speech, voice and stuttering problems; and language difficulties
- Assessment, consultation and treatment of swallowing disorders, oral-motor problems and failure to thrive
- Mobility assessment and treatment
- Caregiver support
- Assessment, consultation and treatment for nutritional challenges
Rehabilitation services are available to children from birth to 18 years of age. Service is available in the Greater Toronto Area (Please note that not all services are available in all areas).
Accessing Rehabilitation Sevices Many of our services are available and funded through your local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC).* Call 310-CCAC (2222) or visit www.ccac-ont.ca to locate your local CCAC office.
Private services are also available to those who would like to purchase them directly or to those who have received our services through the CCAC and would like to purchase additional service.
* Services are provided by VHA Rehab Solutions pursuant to an agreement with the Community Care Access Centre.
Our Team
Our experienced team of professionals is dedicated to working with you to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Occupational Therapists teach people how to manage every day activities, including caring for themselves or others, caring for their home or return to work or leisure activities.
Physiotherapists assist in restoring, improving and maintaining physical function affected by injury, disease or disability.
Speech-Language Pathologists assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
Dietitians use nutrition to maximize health and alleviate conditions that make normal eating and swallowing challenging.
Social Workers provide counselling for concerns such as adjustment to illness or disability, family and marital issues and palliative care needs and options.
All of our rehabilitation service providers are regulated health care professionals and adhere to the highest standards of client care.
