This full day event features keynote speaker Jesse Edsell-Vetter, Hoarding Intervention Coordinator, Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership. In 2006, he led the establishment of MBHP’s Hoarding and Sanitation Initiative. Over the past nine years, Jesse has provided training, technical assistance, and case consultation to professionals in the United States including conferences held by the Mental Health Associations of San Francisco and New Jersey. His work has been covered by media outlets such as the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and National Public Radio. His plenary talk entitled Housing, Health, and Safety: Innovative Approaches to Bringing Homes Into Compliance will illustrate how small shifts in language and procedures have led to better compliance and outcomes, and will also address using non-mental health resources to help mobilize clients to change.
