Ontario March of Dimes ADP

March of Dimes Canada Assistive Devices Program is a funding source available to adults with long term disabilities who are in financial need to purchase select assistive devices for the purpose of improving functional independence and mobility. They also offer funding to repair and maintain select equipment as well.

Toronto Hardship fund

Toronto Hardship Fund is offerred through Employment and Social Services and it offers funding for select assistive devices. This funding is available to applicants of any age living in Toronto who are receiving low income. Eligibility also depends on the cost of the item.

Ontario Disability Support Program

The Ontario Disability support program is available to people who are living with a permanent disability under the age of 65 to assist with basic living expenses and select equipment as well.

Ontario Works

Ontario Works is available to Ontario residents who are in financial need under the age of 65. It offers Financial assistance and Employment assistance. An application is required to become a client of Ontario Works, and the client must agree to participate in employment assistance activities in order to receive financial assistance.

Veterans Affairs Canada

Current or former members of the Canadian Armed Forces, or a family member are eligible for funding through Veterans Affairs Canada for select assistive devices for daily living based on specific health needs. Contact your local VAC Regional or District Office to determine if you are eligible for this type of support.

Ceridian Cares

Ceridian Cares offers the Quality of Life grant for applicants of median total income or lower. Applicants must have permanent residence in Canada. Funding is based on the cost of the item and goes up to a maximum 5000$ for assistive devices.
