Health Tech Junior:

Improving Care for Children with Breathing Tubes

When an airway is blocked, physicians may use a tracheostomy tube—inserted into a hole made at the front of the throat—to assist with breathing. SickKids Hospital, Toronto Central LHIN and VHA have partnered to uncover whether current paediatric tracheostomy education improves children’s health care providers’ (CHPs) skills and kids’ tracheostomy tube care in the community.

WATCH study: Adding High Tech to Senior Living

We’re looking for older home care clients to join our WATCH study – Wearable Aging-in-place Technology for use in Community and at Home. We want help evaluating whether “smart” wearable devices can help better screen and monitor frailty and prevent or predict a client’s further decline. This study is in partnership with Waterloo University.
