VHA Home HealthCare and VHA Rehab Solutions remains dedicated to supporting research and innovation that contributes to advancing human welfare, new knowledge, understanding and best practices in the home and community.
The development of our Research and Ethics Board (REB) serves the purpose of providing a forum that will discuss and review all research from scientific and ethical perspectives, respecting the rights, dignity and autonomy of subjects and utilize an interdisciplinary membership to serve as members of the REB. The REB ensures that all research involving the participation of humans as research subjects meets current ethics standards, and functions in accordance with current standards based on the Tri-Council Policy Statement.
VHA Home HealthCare and VHA Rehab Solutions are committed to fostering a research platform in which high ethical standards are maintained and promoted, to assure the credibility and integrity of the research community.
Our research direction will focus on the promotion of community health care, for our clients to remain at home and to create more possibilities for more independence.
