The latest training and development helps:
- Support continuous improvement through frequent professional development and best practice updates.
- Ensure field employees receive a comprehensive five-day orientation program, as well as ongoing in-service training.
- New nurses and homecare workers make a smooth transition to the field through VHA’s Preceptor-Mentor program. This also gives new employees a chance to shadow an experienced VHA colleague until comfortable working on his or her own.
